Taisumyun

Taisumyun is located in the Northcote shops, where you can find a variety of very good restaurants hawking all sorts of Asian cuisines, and is quite small, so do expect a wait. Sarawak is an East Malaysian state on Borneo, a plane ride over the water from the nation’s capital. With influences from its surrounding regions, the cuisine and dishes here differ from the mainland’s fare — like the Sarawak laksa, for example, which is more sour than the curry laksa you might be used to. Taisumyun offers a whole line-up of Sarawakian specialties, including our personal favourite, kolo mee, a dry noodle dish that is tossed with pork and shallots and topped with fried onions. You should also get the fried noodle soup if you want to try something a little different.
