Great Korean food in Browns Bay
Anyone who knows anything will tell you that the best Korean food is always on the North Shore, and we’d like to direct your attention to this little-known restaurant in Browns Bay, which has one of the best pork back-bone stews we’ve ever had (and we have consumed a lot). Piled high with perilla, it’s known here as “ppyeo haejangguk” instead of gamjatang. Haejangguk basically translates to ‘hangover soup’, which should tell you a lot about its restorative properties. And pretty much no one comes to SongDo without ordering the Korean fried chicken, which is as good here as you’ll find anywhere.
