Red Rabbit

Drinking a coffee here can be a transcendent experience. Red Rabbit is a place devoted to single-origin beans, which they roast and serve. The result is filter coffees that are delicate and nuanced, with intricate flavours and bright acidity. Meanwhile, their flat whites, and other milky coffees, are bold, intense and satisfyingly complex — every cup a masterclass in precision roasting and expressive of the specific region the beans originate from. Last year, they shifted from their original brick-heavy, high-ceilinged industrial spot on Faraday St to a more contemporary space nearby on St Georges Bay Rd. We do miss the warehouse-like space of their previous address, but the new set-up is bright, inviting and perfect for settling in (especially if you add a cookie to your order).
