Another great Malaysian restaurant at 6 Station Rd.
Lima Bintang has continued the tradition of having Malaysian restaurants occupy the space at 6 Station Rd (it was Treasure Kitchen and, before that, Penang Cafe). We were surprised by how consistent the food is here, with a couple of real standouts, including the wat tan hor (a visually unappealing plate of rice noodles covered in gravy; while it has the texture of slop, it is extremely delicious), the fish head rice noodle soup and, obviously, the Hainanese chicken. We encourage big groups to come here for dinner and order dishes to share — although you may just tip yourself over the $25 per person budget, the salted fish eggplant, coffee pork ribs and whole deep-fried fish is worth it, in our opinion.
